Div 1 Tryout Registration is NOW OPEN!
The Airdrie Angels will be hosting Division 1 Tryouts on September 27th and 28th at the Muriel Clayton Diamonds, in Airdrie.
In case of cold or inclement weather, tryouts will move indoors to: Absolute Sports - Airport (#36, 10221-15th Street NE, Calgary, Alberta).
Additional details will be provided one week prior to tryouts.
This year’s tryouts will include one skills evaluation day, with a possible invitation (call-back) to participate in a scrimmage game on a later date.
Please note: receiving a call-back for the scrimmage does not guarantee selection to the Division 1 team.
When registering, please indicate if your player would like to try out as a pitcher and/or catcher. Specific times for these tryouts will be provided.
This year, we are excited to offer a new approach for our U15B-only team for the upcoming season.
This pilot program is designed to provide a competitive, structured environment with a strong emphasis on high-quality training and player development.
Pre-Season (January - mid-April)
1-2 practices per week (one gym session and one indoor facility session every other week)
Chalk talks and classroom-style sessions
Small group skill development sessions
In-Season (mid-April onward)
Regular outdoor practices
A 40-45 game schedule, including tournaments (mostly local, with the possibility of 1-2 out-of-province) and exhibition games
Three provincial tiering weekends (six games each)
One provincial championship weekend (subject to qualification)

Player Age Groups
Ages are based on the player’s age as of January 1, 2026.
U13: Birth years 2013-2014
U15: Birth years 2011-2012
U17: Birth years 2009-2010
U19: Birth years 2007-2008
Note: U17 and U19 will have combined tryouts.
